Does regret affect our future?
I have a specific memory when I was 6 or 7, where I had wanted to do something but was too scared to stand out and try that new and exciting thing. I began to regret that I did not make myself try it, and as odd as it sounds, my young self made a mental note to have no regrets. I still live with that idea almost 15 years later. I have found it in my life to be one of the best decisions, as it has created a sense of adventure an openness. I think it is extremely important as a college student to take those risks, create those memories and don't forget to live a little. At the end of the day, everything will be okay and how it is meant to be. In that same way, don't forget to speak up, express your ideas, and always stand up for those around you. We have the ability to create positive interactions and be open, if we just allow ourselves to take those risks!
In today's age, the art of communication and open conversation, is not only common but encouraged. The college atmosphere, being that it is filled with next generation adults that will shape our world, tends to be a breeding ground for these exact open communication guidelines. The art of acceptance and openness gives everyone the opportunity to be accepted and treated with respect. Does regret shape that into our future hoping for change?
I loved this post! I found it so inspiring and 100% true. We have to take risks and speak out and now is the perfect time to do it. I thought you worded everything perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you completely! Life is purely experiences, and every day there's more and more doors that open up allowing us to appreciate the world around us. The best thing you can do in this life is to actually get out there and live, and not looking back along the way.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Don't be afraid to take advantage of a new experience or challenge!
