College?

It's Time to Digitally Transform Community College | EdSurge News
In talking about college, everyone has a different opinion. In many cases though, you cannot talk about college as a whole. Every college is different, but also very similar. The pros and cons can tip the scale both ways for most people. For example, are we talking about a huge university, an ivy league school, or a small community college. These colleges are all very different but continue to have a similar goal: Advancing a students knowledge and eventually gaining a diploma for their knowledge.
In creating these opinions and ideas, they are all, if not most, based on personal bias and reasons. Instead of creating opinions for other people on college, there should be a common understanding that everyone is different. College does not need to be for everyone. Most colleges are very expensive and if you can get into a trade, what would have been point of spending lots of money for knowledge you will not use? I think we need to normalize doing what makes us happy and is good for our financial, future, and mental wellbeing.

  1. And then, things are WAY different this semester. Most of us are relaxing our standards so that our goals are more attainable. We still teach to the same objectives, but how we get there has had to shift. So, I'd say WAIT before generalizing too much. Things will likely swing back to somewhat tighter constraints. Some students will be pleased; some won't. We'll just GET THROUGH THIS for now, okay? :)
